MUGO From the first beat, MUGO knocks the door down, turns up the volume and gets the party started the right way. Two years on the road, more than two million visitors on Myspace and growing, MUGO celebrates its long anticipated first album – GO TO THE NEXT FLOOR.

Screaming out loud, Pedro Cipriano is sure not to let the crowd stand still. Augusto Scartezini on guitar making the sound burst into extreme violence. André “Splinter” is a world-class drummer holding it all together on the back, while on bass, Faslen De Freitas shows his consistent timbre tearing it up.

Born in Goiânia, Brazil’s rock and roll capital, MUGO captivated its audience and became a constant presence in events in a frantic local scene. Soon after, these guys were sharing the stage with sacred monsters like Sepultura, Helmet, Korzus and Claustrofobia, as well as with traditional local bands, like MQN, MECHANICS and BLACK DRAWING CHALKS. They’ve played in Brasília, Palmas and festivals like VACA AMARELA, GRITO ROCK and on two editions of the consecrated GOIÂNIA NOISE and BANANADA.During their first two years, MUGO produced two EPs – three tracks each – and showcased them on Myspace, where they reached several times the position #1 TOP ARTIST MYSPACE BRAZIL. In 2008, the band was the winner at the TACABOCA NO CD Festival, earning a session inside ROCK LAB Studio, Produced by GUSTAVO “MESTRE” VAZQUES and LUIZ MALDONALE. Oceans were crossed for the mastering process, held at WEST WEST SIDE MUSIC, through the hands of ALAN DOUCHES, the man behind bands such as Killswitch Engage, Sepultura and Hatebreed. The album is released by FÓSFORO CULTURAL and distributed by MONSTRO DISCOS, two great labels of the Brazilian independent music scene. 2009 has given reason for MUGO and their fans to celebrate: a headliner at the most respected and coveted independent festival of Brazil – BANANADA, the official release of the first album, a video of the song “Screams”, a brand new layout for their Myspace website. Let the next steps and obstacles come. Let the road come.
